Product description
It is a one-component, elastic, polyurethane material for insulation and bonding.

 

Application

  • Insulation of mineral substrates, concrete, mortars, old tiles (especially on balconies, terraces, kitchens, saunas, etc.).
  • Bonding to existing tiles and wooden floors.
  • Ideal for repair work, especially when repairing work foundations.
  • Fixing of ceramic, cement, stone and clinker tiles, including on old foundations.
  • Used as indoor (in dry and wet rooms) also outside buildings (facades, terraces, balconies).
  • Heated floors.
  • Swimming pools.

METHOD OF USE

Basis

Must be clean, dry, smooth and homogeneous. It should not contain dust, debris, free particles, grease and other pollutants. Mechanically, the old coatings, cement milk and other particles must not be removed from the substrate.

The material hardens by absorbing moisture from the ambient air.

Application temperature - from + 50C to + 350C.


Method of use

Adhesive SikaBond® T8 should be applied evenly on a pre-prepared surface with a flat or toothed trowel. The material should be applied in two layers. The first layer is waterproof. The second coat should be applied after 20 hours just before tiling. The tiles should be laid not later than 30 minutes after application of the adhesive.

Residues of uncured material should be cleaned with a clean cloth as soon as possible.

Packing - 13.4 kg.

Storage

It is best to use the glue within 12 months from the date of manufacture, storing it on pallets in its original packaging in dry conditions.

Occupational Safety

In order to avoid allergic phenomena, rubber gloves and working clothes should be used during the breaks and after washing hands with soap and water. Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.

Environment

SikaBond® T8 is not toxic. However, it must not get into the water, as well as the groundwater.
